Rize AI Assistant for Slack

The Rize Slack app brings an AI time tracking assistant directly into your Slack workspace. Ask questions about your tracked time, get daily summaries, create time entries, and review AI-generated suggestions — all without leaving Slack. AI-generated responses may not always be accurate and should be reviewed before taking action.

The problem

Your time data shouldn't live in a separate app

You track your time in Rize, but when a teammate asks 'how many hours did we bill Acme last week?' you have to leave Slack, open the Rize dashboard, run a report, and paste the answer back. That context switch adds up across a team.

The Rize Slack app puts an AI assistant inside your workspace. DM it or mention it in a channel to ask about your time entries, billable hours, project breakdowns, and team utilization. It reads your Rize data and responds conversationally — no dashboard required.

Beyond answering questions, the assistant can create time entries, approve AI-generated suggestions, add work notes, and manage clients, projects, and tasks. Your team can interact with Rize without ever opening another tab.

Note: The Rize Slack assistant uses AI to interpret your questions and generate responses. AI-generated responses may not always be accurate and should be reviewed before taking action on billing or reporting decisions. The AI assistant features require a paid Slack plan.

Key benefits

What you get with Rize

No context switching

Your team already lives in Slack. The Rize assistant meets them there — no new tabs, no dashboard logins, no copy-pasting reports.

Conversational time tracking

Say 'log 2 hours on the Acme redesign' instead of filling out forms. The assistant creates structured time entries from natural language.

Instant team visibility

Ask the assistant for team utilization, project hours, or billable breakdowns and share the response right in the channel.

AI-powered suggestions

Rize generates time entry suggestions from your desktop activity. Review and approve them in Slack with a simple message.

Yes. Configure Rize to post daily or weekly time summaries to any Slack channel. Your team sees billable hours, utilization, and project breakdowns without opening another app. You can also ask the AI assistant for specific reports on demand.

You can ask about your tracked time ('how many hours did I work today?'), billable hours ('what's my billable total this week?'), project breakdowns ('show time by project for June'), and team metrics. You can also create time entries, approve suggestions, and manage clients and projects through natural language.

Yes. The Rize desktop app detects when Slack is your active application and categorizes that time. Slack huddles and calls are logged as meeting time automatically.

The Rize Slack assistant uses AI to interpret your questions and generate responses based on your time tracking data. While responses are generally accurate, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. We recommend reviewing any data used for billing or client reporting.

The AI assistant features (DM conversations, channel mentions) require a paid Slack plan. The Rize desktop app tracks time spent in Slack on all plans.
